On Antar 4, Kith learned everything he could of the Jedi. Kith studied ancient texts of Jedi history, and documents that told of the Jedi Way. When Kith had exhausted all of the resources available to him, he returned to the Truuine system to again meet with Master Jassa. However, during their second encounter, Master Jassa treated Kith exactly as he had done before, and sent sent Kith away once again. For the second time, Kith left the system upset. Kith came to the conclusion that he must have missed something in his studies and spent the next year going over all the documents he had previously looked at.

However, Kith found nothing he hadn't known before, and he slipped into a deep depression. As the months passed, Kith began to question why he wanted to become a Jedi in the first place. He wondered what made his desire different than the apprentices Mroon Jassa had accepted. And then, he had it. Kith understood through combining all the information he had gathered accompanying Master Jassa's refusals and the other apprentices attitudes. Kith gathered his belongings and once again returned to meet with Jedi Master Mroon Jassa.

This time Kith announced that he had come, willing to give himself to the Force, so that it may decide his detiny. Master Jassa said that Kith understood what it was to be a Jedi. Master Jassa had but one final inquiry for Kith, and he asked him if he understood that the difficulty had only just begun. When Kith replied that there is no difficulty, there is only effory, Master Mroon Jassa accepted Kith Kark into his compound to train as a Jedi Knight.

Over the next year, Kith learned much about becoming a Jedi, and his training proceeded quickly. At one point though, Master Jassa was called away unexpectredly and for an indefinite amount of time. Kith and some other apprentices realized that their training must continue, so they traveled to the Jedi planet of Ossus. On Ossus, Kith was chosen as part of a task force, made of of Jedi Knights Nomi Sunrider, Dace Diath, Shoaneb Culu, Qrrrl Toq, and himself, that was to travel to Onderon and rescue Jedi Master Arca Jeth from Sith sorcery.
